Every window, door and cabinet seem to be crammed with them. They're black with red spots and very active. As fast as I release them they seem to return indoors - wots up?

They come together in large groups I have them and hundreds of wretched cluster flies all hibernating around my wooden window frames!!! I am afraid I am having to resort to the hoover for the cluster flies and unfortunately some ladybirds are also being sucked in!!!
We were overrun with them here in Norfolk during the summer .They were everywhere ,all over the washing ,hanging off the curtains ,absolutely everywhere ..I had to take the hoover to them in the end. I don't like killing them but they were even in the beds !
