Brian looks dirty and he hardly ever washes. I don't know how he gets so dirty but I have caught him in the bin a few times.

he wont like it but my dog doesnt like being bathed but its neccessary

people only bath dogs because they get dirtier (and clean less than cats so cats aren't) so if your cats dirty, bath it.
Well you can if you wear chain mail gauntlets. lol

Do I need special shampoo?
i jsut read through my reply and it doesnt make sense.

people bath dogs because they get dirty and don't clean themselves suffiently in our opinions so we barth them. but cats keep themselves cleaner so humans don't feel the need to clean them but if it is getting dirty, bath it.
I Double Dare You
scr*w the chain mail gauntlets, wear a full suit of armour.

He jumped in the bath a few weeks back because OH was in it. He didn't seem that bothered. Maybe if I get him while he's still young.

This should be fun.

I think I need a new bin..!!

Im assuming that brians a cat and not a boyfriend?
Yes, I think you can get special shampoos at the Vets. Possibly better to use one because it won't affect his skin. You may need leather gauntlets and a protective face mask!!! ;o). I would bath him in the kitchen sink where you have more control on holding him than a bath. Use luke warm water. He will look totally stupid when he is all wet and may well go right off you and sulk for a good few days.

Best of luck.
you beat mee to it molly lol

I was told you should never bathe a cat as it upsets their natural oils.

try a wire cat brush whilst wearing the armour
mmmm, my wife has given our cat ' Tommy' the occasional rub down with a fairly damp cloth ( with me holding him ) no special shampoo used. I suppose how your cat reacts is down to his temperament.

lol...yes Brian is the cat...

I will do it in the sink. I'll do it tomorrow so OH can hold him and I'll give him a quick wash.
but if you can't find a proper suit of armour, the full chainmall bodysuit divers wear when diving in shark infested waters might just be sufficient.
how are you going to type on Sunday to let us know the level of damage :D

Well I get attacked on an hourly basis anyway. May as well give him a reason to attack me.

I woke up yesterday by him jumping off my headboard and biting my face. My hands have been covered in little scabs since I got him.
He sounds quite a character ummmm. I love spirited cats!
its usually a cats mother that teaches them to wash so I would suggest getting down on all fours ummmm and off you go lol
Can you Bath a Cat? Of course, if you have lost the will to live.

lmao ummmm, been nice knowing you.

He's still only small so I might be OK on this occasion.

Yes...he does have character and a weird fixation with my dressing gown which he suckles...
awwww bless. ASBO used to do that with a particular cardigan of mine. It's so cute when they do that.

I nearly lost a limb at the weekend putting a collar on him, I wouldn't dare try and bath him.
