I have had my cat in and out all night -we have had an awful job with him.He is settled now but its taken a wee while to calm him down.
I wouldnt mind if it was just one night but we have this for the next 3wks at least.
I had fireworks at my 50th last year but apart from inviting all my neighbours I warned everyone and they didnt last long plus we let them off early so as not to disturb anyone.
Take care -just popped on for a wee minute hope to catch you again soon x

Not just animals that are affected by fireworks now being used all year round. Elderly people can also get upset. My mother phoned the police one year because she thought there were shot guns going off in the neighbourhood. About time fireworks were only available to licenced people and firework displays had to be notified in advance.
I'm not a spoilsport, but something has to be done about it. Noone would mind if they had advance warning.
Of course you are not elderly daneswalk!! Just a spring chicken.
Fortunately, it doesn't affect me where I live, hardly any houses and no young children.

Just got back from Malta where many villages have a 'festa' and loads of fireworks. They are spectactular displays, going on for about half an hour, but only very quiet 'pops' as they go off. My argument is with those morons who let them off in the street randomly, at any time or any day once they can buy them. I would ban the sale to individuals and make them get a licence to have a display which would have to be advertised. I am lucky, only my old girl shivers a bit but she is now deaf so unless she sees the flashes she doesn't know they are going off. Have to say though that so far this year its been very quiet where I live. Probably the cost.
just been told that a old man up the road has just lost his dog someone threw a firework at his house the 10 year old collie was in the garden it took of with fright they found it on sunday morning dead on the motorway so it had run about 8 miles before being killed by a car i hope these people are proud of themselves
