Do English Mastiffs shed more than most dogs or is their shedding average?

They shed all the time. Not vast amounts but enough. I brush with a Kong groomer every morning to remove the worst. I was told to feed a tablespoon of linseeds every day to prevent shedding but they seemed to pass straight through so I gave up. It's a small proice to pay in exchange for such a lovely gentle breed
