Came home to take Max to the vet, poor thing took a turn for the worst late on last night. The vet has put him on a drip to help make him comfortable, it is probably his kidneys the vet tells me but I am awaiting a call from them. He was so miserable, I had to carry him in to the surgery and 2 weeks ago i could never have done that , he's lost alot of weight very quickly. He just flopped onto the examination table and lay there without a movement, that's not like him, he would never volunarily go into the building let alone tolerate getting up on the high table! oh well, what will be will be.
thanks for that redhelen you've made me feel more positive, he was 22.4 KGS in august when he went about the diabetes and today he is 16.2, the vet looked abit shocked!
peri he just went to ill late last night, he looked so fed up. I went to work for 6.30 this morning and then came away at 1. I'm supposed to go back for 6 - 8 to lock up but the vet still hasn't rung with any news.
Thanks for all your good wishes. Much appreciated. We lost max a short while ago, his liver had been fighting a tumor apparently and had reached it's capacity the vet said. He was quite drowsy because they had sedated him to put the cathater in, he literally went asleep. awful.
thanks all, it's been an odd day, i have to decide whether to have Max cremated or buried, I've no idea, the local pet cemetary will cremate him and scatter his ashes in their garden, or i can have the ashes in a casket. Not sure which would be best.
