Injury to my Dog
6 Answers
When taking my 5 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier for a walk in the park, she ran straight into another dog. I heard her squeal and then she came running back over to me covered in blood around her nose! She was terribly frightened and she kept sneezing with blood coming out. At first I thought it must be a nose bleed and it will heal by itself but then on the way back - I noticed that she had a bump on her forehead. She is moping and feeling sorry for herself. She can stand but she seems to want to rather sit down. Normally when we come back from a walk she is hyper and energetic and anxious for her lunch. However she just wants to sit on the sofa and look sad.
I've already called the vet and she is to be called in. My question today is has anyone ever experienced this kind of problem with their dog and how quickly is it cured?

As LL said, probably slightly concussed. My Staffy ran flat out into a metal post that marked out a cricket pitch and walked all the way home like a baby giraffe.
You've done the right thing calling the vet to give her the once over. Sounds like a simple nosebleed and the bump will be brusing much like we get if we knock heads.
