Should I entertain any realistic hope? It's sad for the little one to be lost this way. Yes, I know it's only a ruddy cat at the end of the day but still....

put up some reward posters xx
ask neighbours to check their garages and sheds, mosaic
Don't give up hope, my cat went walkabout for 5 days once, but turned up hungry and a bit thinner. Same thing happened to my daughters cat not long ago, seem it was locked in house next door whilst neighbours had gone away. They didn't know it was there. Ask around your area, ask people to look in there sheds and garages etc. Good luck.
How old is he/she?
It's not just a cat! It's a family member and as such you've every right to be upset.

I take it your cat normally doesn't begger off for days on end? Not an un neutered tom is it?

I'm almost too scared to say this...but...have you checked the roads surrounding where you live?

Fingers crossed he or she turns up alive and well very soon.
Good luck Mosaic - hope puss comes home soon
Agree with BOO about being upset etc. I am devastated if anything happens to my pets. Most of us on this section feel the same.
we had a cat that went missing for a week, eventually turned up filthy dirty and hungry, so we assume it had been shut in a shed. Maybe a neighbour had got their lawn mower out last week with the start of spring and shut it in?
In the meantime you could read this.LOL

Have you contacted your local vet? Ours has a list of missing cats in case anyone spots them.

One of my cats used to go off for a couple of weeks at a time, and then suddenly reappear, so don't lose heart. Cats are very independent creatures. Put a few posters in local shops. I hope he turns up soon. x

You are dear sweet critter lovers. Thank you for the support.
You are right - it is JUST a cat - just like the little flea bag that that is worrying me sick because he wouldn't eat his dinner of Felix. ;-)

I hope that your cat comes home soon - looking all innocent and cute and totally unaware of the worry that you have been through.

☺☺
Is pussy chipped? Please don't give up hope & let us know when he/she returns.
one of my cats went missing for 11 months so dont give up hope
Mosaic, it's not just a cat, and we all share your anxiety. It is the spring and cats go a-wander. One of mine got shut in a garage on Christmas eve when he was a kitten, fortunately someone went to get the car out at midnight. Cat 1 went missing for 3 days when the men were fitting my boiler... Is your puss microchipped? I hope so, then if he's handed in or anyone finds him, the vet can ID him and ring you. Put up notices, ring the Cats protection league or your local cat home, ask at all the local vets. They're used to it, they won't mind. I wish you and puss well.
I'm sure your cat will stroll in as if nothing was wrong while you are worrying yourself silly about what might have happened. I would maybe put a note through doors locally asking people to check their sheds as he may well have got shut in and also contact local vets and animal shelters in case someone has picked him up.
He's not just a cat, you obviously love him and any of the pet owners here will know exactly how you are feeling. Hope he turns up soon - keep us posted won't you? xxx
I hope your cat turns up soon. I love all cats to peaces. Young, old, scruffy, pedigree they are all beautiful creatures.
That should of course be pieces
