no such thing so you can sleep easy in bed
In YOUR opinion maybe, Moonraker.
I am not any particular kind of person, but I saw a ghost many years ago. It was not imagination and somebody related to the dead person who appeared in ghostly form described her. The description was exactly right and I did not tell them first what I had seen other than it was a person.
sorry but if there was such a thing and since the first person stood upright to walk dont you think there would be a few more knocking about, we would be over-run with them.
i quite a matter of fact person
nothing ever has been proved about ghostsor contacting "the dead" but i did once see something, personal to me that i cannot explain even though i know it should have been there, so its puzzled me ever since (for 43 years)

CORRECTION...... i know it should have NOT been there, so its puzzled me ever since (for 43 years)
Now thats believable
Overrun with ghosts?

Don't you think they move on to another place and those that remain are only here for a purpose?
Im with Moonraker on this, in my opinion its all nonsense, I would love to believe it but I just cant!!! I would also like to believe in the easter bunny, but there you go........
The point is, we all know the easter bunny is made up. But just because we can't see, hear, touch, smell or taste a "ghost" does not mean they do not exist. Are you saying that every sighting of a ghost that's ever occured is either fabricated or imagined?
You mean to say the easter bunny is not real
To NM yep
I had "someone" sit down on the bed next to me 3 days after my brother died. My mother, in bed across the hall, had the same thing happen to her at almost the very same time that morning. Neither of us imagined it.
I do think that the brain is more powerful than we think
If you think about all these claims of ghost etc, we have loads of footage on you-tube of supposed ghosts and supposed pics on photos, they say that camera can pick up things the eye cant see but under close scrutiny all these pics fall flat on their face, if these ghosts are real then why don't they present themselves for a proper photo, if they cam move objects why don't they pick up a pen and right a letter if they can make noises just talk to us, its all hocus pocus!!
Ditto
Ratter - just because you don't have a rational explanation for something, does not mean to say it is hocus pocus. What if the spirit in question doesn't feel inclined to "say cheese" or start juggling fruit?

I'm not in the least superstitious but I do believe in an afterlife. And that's based on what I've seen with my very eyes.
No I don't, at one of the pits I worked in there was a section of tunnel in which there had been a particularly nasty accident and over the years there had been reports of lights that mysteriously vanished as you approached them, sudden drops in temperature etc, all the things associated with ghosts, and quite a lot of people would do their best to avoid the place. I travelled through the area hundreds of times and never saw or felt anything that could be described as supernatural
But surely if your mind is closed to something, you won't see it anyway. That applies to most things in life and not just otherwordly phenomenon.
