Buddy the Budgie

My budgie broke his leg this morning so i made him a splint with two swan vesta matches. His little face lit up! Unfortunately so did the rest of him as i forgot id lined his cage with sand paper.

Just read this to my mam and she looked all sad then burst out laughing...

I almost fell for that story.

When I was 8 our budgie died when I was at school. My mum told me that he had flown away with the wild budgies - going back to Africa. I was very worried about how he would cope.

When I was about 16 she told me that he had died and she stuck him in a cereal box and put him in the bin. I was terribly upset.

My mum was cruel.

did she splint his legs too? I was round my mates after school one time and her budgies head exploded, it had a tumour
