can my baby bunnies go in a run?

can my 71/2 week old rabbit go in the run with his mum? Is it ok if eats some grass now? He is eating hay and pellets. When mum gets her greens, he goes mad trying to get some off her!
I know he can't have fruit and veggies yet, but surely grass is the same as him eating hay?
