I wasn't denying it had 8 of anything, just that the phrase tentacles was incorrect so it has no tentacles, however- Amendement to my previous answer- it has 6 arms and 2 legs http://www.timesonlin...t/article4517779.ece, in some sources these are called tentacles and in others they differentiate between the term 'arms' and 'tentacles'

I would assume if the question setter is having to ask how many tentacles on an octopus, I doubt they are looking for a definition of tentacles.

I thought it might be a trick question! At least now they have all the facts! The arms not tentacles thing, was that on Qi or something 4get, not sure where I first heard it and can just imagine it being a question on there!
