I have just returned home from a visit to The Blue Cross with my dog for his tablets and took my cat along for her booster injections.. when I got home later (a 16 mile journey) I checked the booklet for my cat and the labels the Vet put on say Quantam Dog and not Quantam cat as the others do. I have rung them and they say on their computer it says she was given cat ones and asked me to bring the booklet in for them to see........IF they have given her the wrong ones will she be okay?? Twinny
Oh twinny, what a worry. Have you asked them that question. Did the label on the booklet come off the injection pack (they often do). I would ring them up and ask them straight away. Ask to talk to the vet not the receptionist. Good luck.
I have rung them they said their computer says she was given cat injections and that they were closing and just to take booklet in to have it altered!! But I am worried .. just what I need ... I've got to have an oral biopsy tomorrow or I would be going to get it sorted!!
it really doesn't matter what the computer says - what matters is which vaccine your cat was given - strongly advise you to take the previous advice and get a second opinion if only to put your mind at rest. hope it works out well.
Please, please phone their out of hours emergency number and explain why you are so worried and ask them if the label stuck onto the booklet came of the Quantam Pack they used for the injection. If so, then she has been injected with the wrong stuff. Don't delay and don't take any nonsense from them.
As carmalee says, what the computer says is completely irrelevant.
Only just caught up with this. Hope things are ok with your cat. Here is a link to a site which gives details of the vaccines - scroll down to Quantam, it gives details for dog and cat vaccines.
