Was gonna save this for if I ever got on DOND but thought I'd tell it here instead.

(Background) Just outside Faversham in kent there is a little village called Oare, okay? Right sit back.

Years ago I was a bus driver and was entering Faverersham. I stopped at the always busy first bus stop and a wholke lot of peole gon on. Bus was well 3/4 full. Then this girl got on, Tinest little short skirt you've ever seen, badly bleached blonde hair and black fishnet tights chewing gum.
"Oare." She said.
As quick as a flash I replied, "I can see what you look like darling but where do you wanna go?"

The whole bus full of people fell about laughing. She threw the money at me with such force... she tried to hit me but I could do nothing but sit there smiling at her. Poor cow!

I swear to you this is a true story. I've told it a few times just hope I haven't repeated it before on here!

Ah cazz, there you are. Did you ever find out about webuyanycar.com? A friend of mine was quoted £2k but when he got ther and after waiting for literally hours, was offered £1200. This was only on Monday just gone. Just wondered how you got on with them.

I had no wish to use them charlie, I wanted to know what they did with the cars that they bought, more a curiosity especially if they are buying nails as some breakers charge these days to take away cars

I think that's a bit nasty. What you did was humiliate someone on a busy bus and you find it funny enough to post about it.

If I didn't slap him I would have reported him. Can you imagine how awful she must have felt? Totally humiliating.

charlie---if you drove a bus in the Kent area , do you know of the 2 places quite close together, one is called Ham, and the other Sandwich.?

Oh dear I thought this was very funny but I seem to of upset people. When I said what I did it was just something I said very quickly without giving it much thought. It wasn't meant to be funny. It was a throw away line.

ummm... you said you I was nasty to do that. What can I say? Generally I am not a nasty person. It was just an incident that happened.

And I did apologise to the girl involved but I didn't add that to the story. Another thing I never added was that she caught my bus many many times after that and knew who I was and was always polite as was I. She told me that afterwards SHE found it funny.

As for being reported, yeah a few times... well can't win 'em all.

mazie...The story is true. I can't prove it now the same as you can't disprove it. But I swear on my childs life the story IS TRUE.

Yeah I know Sandwich reasonable well Brenda, still get my car serviced there on the industrial estate at Total Motor Care. And I know Ham too, but have only driven through it once.

There is an old saying (used to be shown at the pictures on with the Pearl & Dean Ad) "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time."
