Bringing dogs back from Korea

Hi - does anyone know the procedure/costs/legal about bringing back a pet dog from South Korea please? To the UK..

Cos they don't taste the same from here ummmm, they gotta be marinated in the korean sunshine for a bit to get that real taste of the orient ;-)

haha, I am living in South Korea, amd really want to get a dog. However i want to know that when i come home in 6 month/1 year i will be able to bring it with me. it ould be cruel to give it to someone else! It wouldnt be fair!

Whilst I commend your intentions....for the amount it would cost to transport a dog from Korea you could probably pay the keep for 5 dogs in a no-kill shelter for a year!
Are there special circumstances to your request? I remember a post from a lass who was going to work in Korea, was that you?

isn't there anywhere where you could foster dog/s from while you are there? surely animal shelters have a deserving cases and you would be helping unfortunate animals - a very long international flight is traumatic to animals not to mention expensive.

yes it was me! I am here! Very strange place!!!
I have been trying to find out about shelter places but with my little Korean and their little english i didnt get anywhere! i also went to the pet store to see if i could help there, take them for walks etc but they said no, im not sure they understood!
I was just interested in finding out procedure and costs as there is little info on the net about bringing them from korea!
