Definitely, fred - I love Simon's cat, he's so much like mine. I can't tell you the number of times we have been woken either by someone attacking our feet, or by a delicately placed claw just under the edge of the nostril - that has immediate effect, I assure you!

Yes we did have a cat like that apart from the baseball bat that is. He ended up sleeping across the top of my pillow with his paw across my eyes. I thought I'd gone blind. I still miss that bl8**dy cat.

Oh yes - mine takes a flying leap from the chest of drawers on to the bed. Ususally landing on my head. It's quite a wake up call.

I had to hide the baseball bat.

When I was adopted by my first cat I thought that cats were just like dogs. The first morning that I was wakened up by George kissing my eyelids and meowing in my ear I realised that they are so different.

Frankie lies on the pillow and combs his paws and claws through my hair to wake me up.

I like the little bum-hole in the cartoons - some mornings that seems to be the first thing that I see.
