Have you tried "Bird Line" for your area? In N. Yorkshie supermarket car parks have been attracting them. Good Hunting.

nil reported in Birmingham yet...just hoping to pick up reports from any birders who might not use the forums Was in Wales last weekend but missed them in Bangor on Saturday and no time to get to Great Orme... They were back in Bangor Sunday aaagh...
We will have to have a word with LoftieLottie Rowan, in case she is keeping them all hostage in her lovely Garden. Set them free Lottie, Rowan and myself are dying to see some !!!! lol
Is you a twitcher RW? Give 'em time I reckon you'll see some this winter.

As for here on the south coast, slightly remoter chance but you never know.

Did you see this post Rowan? personally I have my doubts but that's just me
The description fitted Waxwings, more say than Lapwings.
I thought not kawakiri because she said they were bigger than starlings but as you were more sure than me I left it. Hopefully you were right. I live in the south and I've never seen one unfortunately.
Kawakiri, you're still wearing your pumpkin!
I was lucky to see about 30 in Chester a few years back.
The dastardly pumpkin is stuck!
Just for the Record :- 3 Beautiful Waxwings spotted Lunchtime today close to Bangor Swimming Pool. They were feeding on Rowan Berries and quite oblivious to the Cars and Passers-by. Managed to get within about 3 yards of them until they flew across to the other Trees to feed. Next time you are here Rowan we'll have to find some for you to see !

I've never seen one so I'm living in hopes as they've been seen not too far from where I am in Derbys. They just might make it as far as you Rowan

pair of binoculars and a pocket bird book so you can identify what you see, easy peasy.
