cats teeth

my vet tells me my cat has FAL, something to do with her teeth but i can't remember what it stands for.  does anyone know please?  many thanks.

It may well be that your cat has Feline Absorbative Lesions or what is more commonly known as FORL. (Feline Odonoclastic Resorptive Lesions)

This is a condition unique to cats where they effectively allow selective decay to occur with parts of their teeth. Mainly the molars, but they can occur with any teeth. They are exceptionally painful for the cat and normally need extraction in order to correct.

Some cats are more prone than others and often if one tooth is affected, you will find others that are affected too.
