People never fail to disgust me.

Yesterday afternoon, my eldest daughter came to visit me. She was only here an hour when he phone rang.

It was her neighbour who'd seen a lad throw something over her (6 foot) backyard gate and leg it. When the neighbour went to invesitgate- it turned out to be a dog!! The neighbour, not knowing what to do, rang the RSPCA who (surprisingly) came to collect it. My daughter rang the RSPCA today to find out what was going on, and the poor thing is a JRT cross, about 8 and has a broken leg and paw- which is why they think it was literally thrown over her garden wall.

I'm utterly gobsmacked that anyone would do this- how could they?

PS
Yes, my daughter is thinking about having it too. She needs to sweet-talk the boyfriend first, and they said they'd arrange a home visit with it.

Good on her, hope the dog recovers and is re-homed
I can't find the words to express my disgust at such people. You don't have to be an animal lover to know that hurting animals is wrong.

Bah!
what goes around comes around and some day, in some way this type of low life will get paid back big time. Glad the dog is now being cared for.
hope you are right carmalee

Will keep you guys updated on whether she's managed to talk the boyfriend round. They already have a cat though, so it might be a none starter :-(
God luv' it...hope your daughter can keep it
That's sad news boo, children that do these kind of things surely can't have a great future ahead of them.
It is very rarely I post these words on t his site but,

This has brought tears to my eyes.

My litttle dog is a JR cross aged 8.

Human beings are horrible!! (not all of them)
Despicable.

Poor dog - hope it recovers and finds a loving home
.
awww poor thing, i hate people like that, i want to do the same to them, well not quite the same i would make them sit in a room for a week with nothing to listen to except mariah carey, celine dion and cheryl cole, then i'd set them on fire, then i'd thow them over a wall.
I think listening to slimy X-factors lothario Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho would be a better punishment mcfluff.
add him to the list then
I just can't understand why people have a dog (or other pet) and mistreat them in such a cruel way when there are many organisations that offer help. I have had my dog almost 2 years and I can honestly say I have only had to tap (not smack) her for any mis-behaviour in all that time a few times. Throwing her anywhere let alone over a 6 ft fence and abandon her makes me sick to think anyone can even contemplate such an act of cruelty.

Just spoken to my daughter, and she's not going to take it on. She's got her hans full as it is with a new baby.

:-(

:-(

If anyone else is interested, i'll get my daughter to find out which kennels it's been taken to. It's a bit of a longshot, but if someone on here is interested that'd be fabulous

What a horrific story...I hope Fate pays that yob back-big time.
I do hope the dog finds new and loving owners.
how bizarre.

Couldn't your daughter keep the dog and put the baby into kennels?
