Cat traits...

Why do cats nudge your hand with their head when you either go to stroke them or you put your hand near them??
Anyone got any other interesting facts about cat behaviours??

Here's a good one:
Next time when your cat is sitting quietly - talk to him/her quietly whilst slowly nodding your head, I BET you get the 'slow blink'.
That slow blink a cat does while looking in your direction is the puddytat equivalent of smiling.

That's brilliant BOL10X - I have heard of dogs doing that. Your cat must love you very much!
My cats will nudge my hand when they want me to carry on stroking them, particularly when I thought I'd finished.
They nick the best seats in the house, and take up nearly all the bed, but we let 'em - why IS that?!

I sometimes sit and blink at Frankie and he blinks back, his sister just looks at me with her big vacant eyes but she is too stupid to blink. It must hurt her eyes to stare at me without blinking.

My two are brother and sister but they are very different both in character and in look. I love them very much.

Cats are comforted by what they remember from being a kitten. They nudge at your hand because they want to be stroked more and its what they do as kittens when looking for the milk from mum. They move their paws in the same fashion wen getting comfy coz thats what they do as kittens to make the milk come out!
Its when they feel contented and safe.
Cute!
