will it come back to life when the ice thaws out??

But where the outer skin of a fish has frozen, but not the insides, it has been known for the fish to survive. Also, it's been found that a fish encased in solid ice may not itself be frozen, and, depending on the species, it might well survive in that state, but only for two or three days.
