Some idiot has released there ferret, It is an Albino and has been spotted running around an aerodrome where i live, It tried to run up peoples legs when out walking there dogs, I have been up there but cant see it otherwise i would catch the poor thing, It is starting to get cold again and ferrets can travel long distances. how long do you think it can survive for?
I will go and have another look for it in a bit.

Thanks
Jo

I don't know but this link takes you to a BBC site which says that they would probably not survive. The poor thing would probably have no idea how to catch food.

Just been up there again, the aerodrome is so large, you would think a white ferret would be easy to spot but it is foggy, I will go up again later,
Good luck Jo, I'd really like to read a happy ending to this.

Iv'e been around the aerodrome 3 times today, But sadly no sign of it as of yet, If i find it i will let you all know.
we have a local rabbit and rodent rescue (south hampshire) who have got a couple of large humane traps to catch the pet rabbits and rats that fools release into the new forest. They de tick and flea them then rehome...maybe a local vet would know if anyone near you has something similar that you could borrow?

Just to let you know the ferret was found at the aerodome, and is well, Good job he was found as there is 8 inches of snow here.
