I have just bought 2 baby girl rabbits, but one of them wants to "hump" the other (if you know what I mean). Is this normal in female rabbits or have I got a male by mistake?

They can breed at a very young age...and you know the saying "breed like rabbits"...so beware! That said, I'm not sure if this female "humping" is common. For a definitive answer...maybe you could get the vet to check them out? Never a bad idea to take new pets for a once over to the vets anyway. Good luck. P.S. what have you called them? You might have to change one of their names if she's a he!
Hiya, I've had exactly the same problem with my little baby girl rabbits. They started humping at 3 months old! I was really disturbed when they first started doing it as I couldn't seperate them and they were quite aggressive. The vet has checked them and they are definately both girls - she said that it is a dominance thing, and once they've established who's the boss then they should stop humping each others heads! They have to be spayed next month when they are 6mths old which should hopefully help to put an end to their humping activities! Hope your two babies are ok! :-)
