When do the leaves on trees start changing colour in Autumn?

Just trying to work out when exactly the leaves on trees start changing colour in the Autumn. Would it be as early as the first week in September?

It depends on rain,drought etc and different trees turn at different times.
also depends on the temperature and where in the country (or world!) you are - further north in the uk, the trees turn earlier.
yes, depends where in the Uk you are!........but mostly about mid to late October in most places............
It will also depend on day length and the type of plant it is as some change sooner than others regardless of other factors
It used to be Sept/Oct, but this autumn round here, they didn't change until November. How the seasons move - I remember when I was a child, the trees were bare on Guy Fawkes' Day!
