Hi all!

Havent posted in here for a while!

Do cats really pick up on owners feelings and situations?
When I split with my ex in February, I managed to bring 2 of my cats with me to my new home with my new partner (now fiancee!)

Smokie Joe was always terrified of everything, jumped at the smallest thing and always hid from anyone he didnt know.
He is a changed cat these days! Pk so he only lives with one other cat now, not 6 and we live on a farm which is pretty quiet, but he is so different. My mum and stepdad came for dinner the other week and were amazed, not only did they get to see Smokie for the first time in the 7 years I have had him, but he came straight up to them and jumped up on the sofa for a cuddle with them :-)

He's happy that you're happy.
Obviously didnt like your ex, do you know if he was ever harmed in any way?
yes pets do pick up on human emotion..no doubt at all.
Agree with woofgang. Whenever I am planning on going away (even though hubby and daughter are staying behind) the cat gets very strange and needy, and yowls at me!
Or maybe he isn't being beaten up by 6 other cats now.
Just a thought.

There was only one cat he didnt like before ladyalex, and that was his his sister Sammy, he got on fine with all the others.
I believe they can wiggal. My ASBO is a first class Sugar. However, if either of us are ill, he will come and cuddle us and be quite sweet.

Today, my step daughter has been poorly, so ASBO has spent all day snuggling her. She is on the sofa now and he keeps nipping in, jumping on her, just to check we reckon!!!
Our dogs have all been able to react to changes in our feelings. How else would they always take up their welcoming positions whenever daughter comes home even before the train had arrived.

Very true barmaid, my Cefa will always jump on the bed an cuddle up all day if I am off sick.

Taking of Cefa, before I moved out, she was pretty much bald from her front legs to the end of her tail bless her, and since we have moved, she has grown her full coat back and kept it ever since! She is obviously a lot less stressed or happy her mum is happy :-)

My OH has said it has obviously done all of us the world of good, as as well as the change in them, she says I am like a different person as well!
