redman, have you been to south stack lately? seen any puffins? what's the new rspb place like? will be visiting shortly and am interested to know what's about. thanks :)

Hi ethandron !
Here is a link to RSPB South Stack Holyhead, and it has a live WebCam of one of the Chough's on it's nest as well.
The site is up and running properly now after a lot of work over the winter, new Staff recruited as well so you should have a good Breakfast in the restaurant !
The Birds will be there in their thousands i.e Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills etc along with ravens and Chough's as the breeding Season will be in full swing.
I haven't been for several Years but if my Birding partner (RW ) was around I would take her there to see the spectacle.

really looking forward to seeing the puffins and having a big breakfast in the new centre....not sure which i'm looking forward to most!!
we're having 5 days in the area so will hopefully get to see most, if not all, of the seasonal birding delights. will defo report back, and many thanks for your very comprehensive answer. who knows redman, we may one day cross paths with you :)
