Nice one keyhole! Mr Helmet was raving about some sort of jay in the garden the other day. Apparently he/she/it's become a regular visitor so he's well impressed
That's nice, I haven't seen one for a while either and looking at the advert on this page reminds me that I can't remember the last time I saw a bullfinch.
Saw two male Bullfinches in February, but the Nuthatches have not shown their faces in about a year, keyhole, so I'm very envious. Aren't they gorgeous little birds?
quite a few near me. but hope to see lots of woodland birds this weekend as we often walk through the woods in the early evening when we are in Wales
Never seen a live nuthatch keyhole. Saw my first bullfinch in the garden a couple of weeks ago and had to come on here to get help in identifying it as it's not a visitor I've seen before. Jay might appear from the woods nearby once more so keeping an eye open.
Keep an eye out for treecreepers too there seem to be quite a few around this year
Will be interesting again when the Ospreys come back to Rutland Water. Have just read they could be back end of March.
Have 2 regular nuthatches feeding in the garden. Funny how they always feed upside down. What beautiful birds they are .
