I missed the report of his leaving earlier this week, but if you are interested, you can follow his migration on this link. It's going to be fascinating to watch! http://scottishwildli.../things-to-do/osprey/

hi boxy - yes dad and son left within a day of each other last weekend, and son seems to be doing all the right things on his way thru France - great to be able to track him and see how he goes
Thanks boxy, I shall keep checking this. Interesting that one seems to have stayed over land mass and the other out to sea.
Thank you for posting Boxy. x
seekeerz, I think these pair are this year's chicks from two different sites, not father and chick. I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong:-)
ladybirder - yes you're right about the satellite coverage showing the two birds making their way south, they are the two youngsters who were tagged this year - great for everyone to be able to track their progress.

but in my comment, I was referring to the 'father and son' combination from lowes, who did leave very close together - unfortunately we can't track 'dads' progress as well
Oh, OK thanks seekeerz. I shall be holding my breath for them all until they return safely.
unfortunately we've a long wait, haven't we
Yes we have but it will make it all the more exciting when they do return.
I'll say goodnight now, go to try and get some sleep.
ok, sleep well, and good night skz
