To be honest I had no idea what they were until I visited a visitors centre where there was lots of info on these amazing birds.

I have these flying overhead every day - bit boring, actually.
How could someone ever describe a kite as boring?

I see blackbirds, starlings and sparrows flying overhead every day but never are they boring!

I love red kites, I think they are lovely.

Boring?
I have red kites too and they are stunning creatures, fully deserving of the name kite.
They are about 6 feet across you know. That's not small.
Beautiful birds Ratter. MrG and I watched the introduction at Fineshade where I now have a bench in his memory. I am so lucky to watch them daily above my garden. x
I heard a cuckoo yesterday.Bit late this year.Is that because they don't like rain?
When you see and hear them all day, every day - yes, they're boring.
