I've just had a look at the current photo, melv16 (a good one, by the way!), and I notice that the bird doesn't appear to be ringed. Is bird ringing not usual in the Netherlands?

I think they do, bookbinder. It all depends if the ringers can access the nest site before the chicks fledge. It can also be a bird from a unmonitored nest.

Anytime soon. There's been reports of them mating off camera. The female's a juvenile, so it might not be successful.

I see in the "Locatie info" that there are houses and businesses in the area of the nest site. Does that kind of thing disturb the birds, are can they become accustomed to it?

Goshawks are much more common on the continent,  so they nest where they can. In the UK they're persecuted (along with other birds of prey)and are much shyer. The New Forest has over 40 breeding pairs and have a nest cam situated there. Hopefully, it will be online soon.
