I saw my first swallow on Sunday 7th April. I know others will have seen them already but I like to record it on here so I can compare previous years. This a couple of weeks earlier than recent years for me so that's good. South Dorset area.

They'll wish they'd stayed at home with this stupid weather we're getting.

Nice to see them though.

Well spotted Prudie - hopefully a sign of a good summer.

Oh how lovely, Prudie.  They aren't normally up here until  early June. You're South coast aren't you?

Hi Jourdain, yes sort of Dorchester area.

I keep a record of when the martins arrive here in S.W. Germany and for the last six years they have arrived in the narrow window between the 22nd and 30th of April - always at 6:00pm !

I wonder if this being a leap year they will arrive towards the earlier part of those dates - I await, as always, in wonderment.

Still not arrived here yet - this is getting very late.
