I suggest that AB Editorial should be absolutely honest at all times with us members.

A lot of strange things go on within AB but if a question is asked of Editorial it is often disregarded without the courtesy of a reply.

Nevertheless, I am posting a poll poser because I am of the opinion that results perhaps are sometimes doctored.

Reference page4 of the following, which shows a final result of one person considering his/herself to be Upper Class, whereas if you scroll down the page you will note that I was aware of 4 people having been classified beyond my status. In fact I think the final result was actually five.

Perhaps the Ed has amended it it so that he is the only person within the upper echelon.:-)

Now I love you Ron, I really do.

But why do you get so het up over silly little thing on the site? Why can't you just simply accept it as it is, warts and all, and do what it's here for, to ask and receive answers?

Unless of course you're joking? Then ignore my post :-)

B00....If you didn't really love me, I would have problems with Viv who thinks you are a real hoot........Do you think for one moment that I am going to disagree with my better half.:-)

To answer your Question.....I acknowledge what you say about it being a question and answer site and I am very appreciative of all replies to my questions. However, it could be an age thing on my part, that I wish everyone to be honest with each other and I include Editorial staff....I am not prepared to Spare anyone.

I don't mind what people say to me. My hurt comes when I am completely ignored; which is often the case with Editorial.

Ron - with all due respect, how many emails do you think the Eds get a day? Can you not see that they have to prioritise these?

My advice....don't email them.
Ron, I don't know what you're talking about - the poll answer the section you mention clearly says "5 answers" - so where is your gripe?
..and in any case, what's to stop people making this up anyway, the results are hardly scientific.
IMO the Ed has far better things to do than to sit around at AB Towers thinking up machiavellian ways to confuse the site's members - I believe he has more respect for our intelligence than that.
Question Author
I think that it is about two occasions that I have e/mailed the Ed. It is my practice of posting in the columns of AB and, whilst I can appreciate your comments, I do get distressed that there is often a lack of response to honest suggestions which are made by myself and other ABers.

Ron.
Somedays he's busier than others....I would guess that he has had *loads* of reports to deal with today. Lot's of trolls on today....
Boxy is quite right..............the poll shows 5 against Upper Class.
I wouldn't worry about it, Ron; I didn't even get a Christmas card from him last year. He's got a lot on his plate, what with polls and trolls and china dolls.

OMG... I have boobed on this one..... You are right boxtops..5 uppers....My eyesight must be failing. I saw a vertical line, read it as one and didn't look any further.

Nevertheless, I still stand by the first two sentences of my original posting.

Ron, from time to time there are things that none of us like, but it's the Ed's site, and he can do what he likes with it. Regarding not replying to you, he has covered himself about this on several occasions, with posts which make it clear that some things are just not up for discussion and he won't enter into correspondence unless he wants to.
Question Author
I agree boxtops...it's the Ed's site and he can do what he likes with it. Unfortunately, although I regard myself as working class, I am of the old school tie brigade who adopt the policy of replying to everyone who writes to me; even if it;'s just to tell them to get knotted.

Ron
It's not the done thing these days Ron, not now that we have mass communication - things started to go downhill when companies stopped acknowledging job applications....
hi ron/viv..... dont fret :)
Question Author
Hi anneasquith..Thanks for trying to make me feel happier than what I am. Viv dismisses things easier than I do and has now gone off to bed. I'll have another cigarette and try to forget that I posted something which appears to have failed in it's intended purpose.

Ron.
Hi Ron,

I thought I would post on this thread as it seems you have taken the matter to heart.

I cannot reply to every thread or email directed at me. We get LOTS of reports and contacts on a daily basis, and I just don't have the time to personally respond to each one. Although you may hold a policy of replying to everyone, that just isn't viable for myself and the team.

I'd also like to point out that this thread was posted on Sunday and concluded at 12:40 am on Monday morning. Although I do try to get on the site as much as possible, I do take some time off!

Please don't be offended by a lack of reply. We read absolutely everything that is aimed at us, we just can't reply all of the time.

Thanks,

Ed.
Question Author
Good afternoon Ed,

Thanks for your having replied in this instance.

I am not suggesting that you or staff should reply to all e/mails. My concern is the lack of responses to all ABers who have posted seriously in 'Suggestions' and even those who have wrongly put an entry into 'Editor's Blog'.......Talking of which, it would be nice to see a weekly Blog from you which might reduce the large number of inappropriate e/mails received at your office. ( Sorry, that could be deemed as another suggestions which is not worthy of consideration.)

Anyway, in conclusion, I'll just say........"You've won again." :-)☺☺☺

Best wishes.....Ron.
