'Mark as best answer' should be removed until it's in working order....Being printed in red it spoils the look of answers which are posted.... Anyway, I always click my own.:-)

Red is not a favourite colour of mine. Much rather if it were deep blue.

'Mark as Best Answer' should appear in red at the very top of each reply you get to any question which you have submitted.

Even Ed admits it doesn't work …. yet persists in supporting and showing the Mark as best answer statement. Very confusing and doesn't make sense really
… but then, neither does clicking your own answer.

Can't say I did anything special (or know a man that knows). I was simply skipping through the pages and came across the reference to 'Best Answer'.
That in turn prompted my response which in effect backed up your opinion.

A number of thing in AB either don't work as they should or fail completely to function, as you will already have discovered
