There was a poll regarding the colours....seems most liked them.
Personally-I think they are awful.
Some sites allow you to choose from various colour combinations, or themes-so you have an individual look for your pages when you log in.
I also think they're awful but I agree a lot were in favour. Whether on my laptop at home or work PC it's a dull maroon and a dark dirty mustard and grey - I never see red and orange.
Personally I think It's fine, I find that when a website such as AB or Facebook gets revamped, it becomes difficult to use as you have to learn how to use it again, as done when first joining AB. Plus, the revamp usually ends up in people whining, remember when FB was done. didn't think we would hear the end of the whinging!
I suppose part of the charm of AB is it is a little quaint...its comfy armchair territory where most people post in proper English and while I think a cooler colour scheme would be kinder on older eyes It might not feel the same
Good good. Now we are all in agreement (I'm ignoring those that don't agree with me) then I'll tell ed my expert advice on web design and get it changed post haste.
try and find a web designer - I could come up with a conceptual design but have no way of putting it into operation. Colour-wise the red would come off and I would go for a blue and make the yellow less fonce perhaps - tone up the grey a bit.......
