I guess because some people have them set up on their computers. Otherwise the Ed's probably never seen the reason for one. Personally I would find it annoying - some of the crossword answers are weird words!
Get your browsers spell check. It works here :-)
I tink most of us on AB can firgove spelking missteaks. I still have to ask Viv how to spell words and even then I hit the wring keys, despote the 'spell check' inbilt into my compitor. I seem to keep hotting the the next letter on the keybord ti what I inyend.

Tony:
Most people around here are using browsers which automatically spell check our posts anyway.

For example, Firefox users simply install the British English dictionary add-on.
Spell checking on a website is hugely complicated and very very few do it, and if they do it will be via a click here to spell check button.

As above, most people who want spell checkers (I need one!) will have it on all sites via their browsers on their computer, not on the website.
Chrome' spell checker is really good..
But not full-proof... ;-)
OR even fool proof?
Whoosh!
Yeah I maybe should have spotted the irony in that one :)
Yes, you should of... ;-)
I'm hoping that your use of 'of', rather than 'have', is another attempt at irony, Mark ;-)
'should have' even?
Dearie me!
LMAO!!!
You just can't get the staff these days :-)
scotman.....I think the Ed is suffering in the direction which you have intimated. Hence the reason things keep going haywire.:-)

Ron.
How do I use specll check in Explorer? I've looked in tools and options but can't see it.
Maidup.....It is possible to get an 'add-on' for Explorer:-

Personally, I prefer to use 'Firefox' as my default Browser with it's 'add-ons'.

Perhaps Chuck and Chris are prepared to comment further on this matter.

Ron.
Thanks Ron

I'm happy with Explorer - its what I'm used to plus I never really have the time to switch things over onto the others - so I'll give iespell a try. Many thanks
