I second that. I'd so much prefer it if the link defaulted us to the most recent post and if we need to read from the beginning we can go back to page 1; rather than it defaulting to page one and we have to scroll to the end every time we read the thread. Please!
Yes I agree and I asked for this to happen a while back but heard nothing since. It is annoying to link from the latest post list to the thread only to find you have to go to last page to read the latest posting. Can it be done please...it would be so helpful when linking from LP list?
And it also works the opposite way. What about the people who haven't read the thread from the beginning? They'd then have to click back instead of forward. Then posts will appear in suggestion asking can a thread be opened at the beginning and not at the most recent post...
There must be some compromise - if you look at any thread under topics, you can always click on the most recent post on that thread. I'd rather go straight to the last one, rather than having to click forward from page 1 - but then I'm an inveterate Latest Posts user, I hardly ever go to the Topics.
yee, maybe it isnt such a good idea really. If you havent read the post before, its a nuisance to go to the last post? I'll carry on with what I'm used to lol
I go with boxtops there, I really only read posts from the latest posts list and when there's none there of interest I will then go into the topics list...
It was in Suggestions some time ago, similar answers to now ummmm some for some against....but as someone said here, surely they can compromise for both? Well one might hope so anyway.
It doesn't matter I've found out. Pressing end does indeed take you to the end of the page you're on but not to the last page which contains the latest post which is what I would like to be able to do, thank you anyway.
