They could always come back under another name - some people are always going to be offensive but why do they try to ruin a happy site.

We should all take into account that it may be easy for some of us, the regular users, to recognise repeat offenders, but for AB Ed to monitor every post would be very time consuming. The AB team rely on feedback from the users, using the report facility,  to pick up on repeat offenders and do something about them.

As the Ed has asked on numerous occasions, please use the report facility rather than post a complaint. The reports are acted upon more quickly.

This isn't intended as a dig at this post, only to say that this post may easily be off the bottom of the screen by Monday when the ED comes back on-line whereas anything that has been reported shows up on the Eds report log and can be actioned quicker.

look at the home page 'About The AnswerBank'.

"It is not intended for use as a chat room."

Hung6 If you click on the help button (and this might be a revelation for others) it says quote "but equally important, Answer bank allows you the opportunity to debate issues of interest to you and open them up into full discussions rather than simple question and answer. The Answer bank message boards are the place to get advice, discuss issues with like-minded people, or argue over the issues of the day"
I think even the new ed might not know this exists.

Landie some questions are offensive to one person and not to another some are obviously offensive to all.
Speak up TCL your comments are as important as anyone's on answerbank .

It's a question and answer site the ED lets some chatty threads stay for a little while sometimes.

Hi graemer. I was not referring to discussions. I meant the chatty threads like "Wot you havin for tea tonight."

Discussions, such as this, are always useful to let the Ed know our feelings. So long as they don't degrade into name calling.
