Ads all over AB are one thing and I largely mentally blank them out.

However, I have just been "bombarded" by the National Geo vid and this is something that I could definitely do without........

Please spare us from this format, Ed!

I heartily agree, DT! It only takes a movement of the cursor over the ad to start the wretched thing playing. This is an irritable invasion of privacy. Instead, 'Click to play' should be made mandatory on all such ads. Please do something, Ed!
Where is that DT, I haven't noticed it.

I thought I was being clumsy but it keeps happening.
Like you DT, I mentally block them out and have no problem with the new layout but this slows down my typing finger as I have to stop and grab the mouse, and it will not always click off on the X button.
I turned the sound off on the ad but whenever it reappeared the sound was on again.
I've now had to mute my PC which i don'tlike doing as I like to put music on from time to time
Where is this ad? Haven't any on my screen.
Praise the Lord for Adblock on Firefox.

I can't remember. I will come back to you.
use the link that snags has provided - there is a video on that page
thanks bibble and snags (never saw the link) i cant do it as i have a different version of FF grrrr
You should surf AB using a tablet. No such issues.
you need tablets after you've surfed ab :s
Adblock is compatible with the latest version (10.0) of FF and if you are using FF3.6 then support for that is ending in April - so you might as well bite the bullet and get the latest version sooner rather than later.
(p.s. it's always possible to turn off add-on compatibility checking in FF)
Most people on here are already on some sort of tablets pdust. ;-)
I can't see what all the fuss is about. It’s an advert, that’s all. If it 'bombards' you uninvited, close it down.
