Is there any way people could attach photos to their questions so that if there is something they particularly want to find but they can't describe it/don't know what it is called, they can put a photograph up?

This has no doubt been asked previously, but I can't find anything when I look.

Thanks.

Here, hang on, I typed that in capital letters. I'm not trying to put you down corbyloon, some robot has gone haywire. Anti-capitalism???

I swear I'll kiss Andie if this works on my first attempt. I live in the top riight hand corner:

Here  OMG!

Got so nervous I said Andie! Sorry Indie!. But thanks for your tutorials. Right so the next thing is how to enlarge. The first one I was going to do, the Image shack said was too big.

Help wait for me - can someone PLEASE explain how to do it.  I've got as far as Image Shack, but where do I put the photo? In my scanner, or should I use one already in the computer.  Let me join in the fun!!!
Have tried to put in a picture of a Ford Ka but no idea how to do it.  How do I get it from Imageshack to here???

Hi netibiza,

The way I did it was to copy and paste the link for my photo from ImageShack into the answer box here, then I followed IndieSinger's instructions on the previous page.

Good luck!
dmsjps - how do I copy and paste - honestly I've forgotten!

In ImageShack, on the page with your photographs, next to each one are links. One of them is a 'direct' link. If you click in this text it will turn blue, click ctrl + C on your keyboard to copy it, then in AnswerBank, click ctrl + V where you want the link to appear and it will paste itself onto the page. When you press return on your keyboard, the text will turn blue, so it is then a link to your photo. You can highlight it with your mouse and type anything you want over the top of it like the name of your picture and it will still be a link, if you see what I mean!

IndieSinger's instructions are much clearer than mine, so I hope I've helped rather than confused you!

Looking forward to seeing the photo.
netibiza - If you print off Indie's instructions, you will have them on your desk in front of you & that will make it so much easier for you to proceed. Good luck.

IndieSinger, you've created a monster.

How I do links (not just picture links):

  1. Select the target URL (where you want to link to) and copy, using CTRL+C.
  2. In the Post an Answer edit box, select the word or phrase you want to be the hyperlink.
  3. Press CTRL+K to show this screen.
  4. Paste target URL in the URL field and click OK.

Please note this only works in Internet Explorer.

Click here for a delightful picure of me as a child.

Now I cannot seem to get it to appear.  Can anyone else see it , it should be my cat, but who knows???
netibiza - can't see your cat yet - it just reads: This page cannot be found.
Question Author
netibiza, I just get the ImageShack homepage when I click on your link. Did you copy and paste the 'Direct' link to your photo? That's the one I used. There are several links for each of your photos; I don't know what all the rest are for!

Keep trying, you'll do it in the end!
Just ignore me - I'll keep trying - ridiculous I am!!!
Neti, if the cat dies before you get it posted, just do the Ka instead
