FireFox 13

To beat Ron to it: Firefox has updated to FF13 recently.
Given the problems we had with FF12 I recommend upgrading.
If you spot any bugs which seem to be related to FF13, please let me know here.

Hi Ed, I thought I had given folk advance notification that FF 13 was available from 5th June. Anyway, that apart, I would think that ABers who were on FF12 will have received FF13 as an Automatic Update and have no cause for complaint, as everything appears to be working well. (it is for me)
Incidentally, there's not long to wait for further up-dated versions of Firefox.:-
14....July 17th
15....Aug.28th
16....Oct 9th

When I opened Firefox yesterday it automatically updated to 13. Then the problems began. I posted a thread yesterday and it drew quite a few comments that AB was not functioning properly. Was this a coincidence? However, I downgraded back to version 12 and things were fine. Today when I switched on, Firefox again tried to automatically update to 13. I prevented it. I am happy with 12 right now.
sir.prize...It may have been coincidental. Let's wait to see if there are any other Aber's who have adverse comments about FF13.
It's my opinion, as a non techie, Firefox will keep trying to up-date your system to FF13, and may even do so, unless you programme your computer for FF 'Never check for up-dates'.

Thanks Ron. Once again I notice that the little circle goes round and round and round and it is taking ages to load. I think perhaps there is a problem not related to Firefox. AVG and Malware bytes are both saying everything is fine. Perhaps I will let Firefox update to version 13 and see what happens . . .
Hi Nibble, I do sometimes (perhaps often) get things wrong, but I regret being unable to follow what you are saying. In fact, I cannot detect any difference between IE and FF on what I think is the issue raised by EB. Consequently I would value your further comments.
Incidentally, I am posting at present from my Laptop into which I have installed Firefox Beta 14; just to get an idea of what the future holds for FF fans. I have retained FF 13 in my Desktop which is my regularly used computer.
At the moment FFbeta 14 is giving me no cause for complaint whilst being used on Answerbank. All is working well.......providing there is no problem when I hit the submit button,
Ron.
