Following on from the "Competition for name of 'chatty thread'/topics", I have compiled a list of all the suggestions so far and the number of votes for each. (Can you tell I'm bored?) The original question is now on the next page and may have been missed by some users. (I shall post the list as an answer to this question so that it doesn't tie up too much space in Suggestions).

To finalise this, AB Ed should give a deadline date (within this week) for submission of any further suggestions.

Then (less than two two weeks from now to prevent anyone from registering a new name in order to vote more than once - i.e. "Green Names" are ineligible to vote), we should be able to vote for our preferred name for the new chat section.

Dear all

Thank you so much for your many wonderful suggestions. We aim to launch the new category later this week with one of the suggested names as its glowing title. Not one to name names, I'm keeping the "preferred" ("loser"/"winner" - like "banned" does not fit in with the monk way) name to meself and a select crew of highly technical woodland creatures who'll get this beast up and running.

So it looks like later this week. Keep the votes coming in. Have just checked up on the voting rules and elephants are not allowed to vote unless accompanied by a penguin of voting age. Penguins can only vote if covered in chocolate.

Looks like the AB ED has made his/her choice I think its Jocks place by a mile!

According to my calculations (forgive me if they are wrong) the leaders are now: -

"Meeting Point" and "Speak Easy" both on 3 votes.

"AB Chat" and "AB Chatters" both on 4 votes.

"AB Talk" and "The ClubHouse" both on 8 votes.

Hi sashagreen, I'm well aware that it was your suggestion and have never suggested otherwise. The credit is yours and yours alone. I merely voted for it as a good idea. My apologies if the wrong idea was given, but I thought my post on the original thread was quite clear.

I cannot think of any myself. I do like AB Chat.

It is simple, ties it in nicely to ABank and should be easily understood as a title regardless of where in the world you come from.

Having said that I also like AB talk.
