links to answer posting

I think it would be a great idea to be able to link to reading the answers by just clicking on the text rather than just the question title. Some questions are so long that you have to scroll all the way back up to be able to read the answers, not that it would be a life changing thing but it does make me grrrr!!

Then everybody would have to read through an enormously long screed of red, underlined prose.

but why cant they just make the black writing a link?

It would fly in the face of convention. Links are always underlined and in a different color, to tell everyone they are links (or might be).  If you change that the skies will fall, the earth will crumble and Bill Gates will lose all his money.  It won't be allowed to happen.

Hi all,

Thank you for the suggestion. Firstly, we wouldn't want to make it more difficult to recognise hyperlinks embedded in text (in case people are being naughty). Otherwise it is a good suggestion but we do not get that many long questions to justify the changes - at this moment in time.
