Tommy Robinson - Proving That You Don't Need Brains To Lead The Edl

Tommy Robinson, leader of the far right EDL, went to the house of Gary Moon, the editor of an anti-EDL website, took pictures of his front door, and then pictures of him holding up letters addressed to Mr Moon - proving that he'd been there.

Except it wasn't Gary Moon's flat. It was Garry Moon's flat - a man with no connection to the anti-EDL website:

This leaves the question - why did Tommy Robinson go to those lengths to track down Gary Moon? Why did he tweet pictures of Garry Moon's address to his followers on Twitter?

After Nick Griffin published the address of the gay couple who sued the Christian B&B (encouraging BNP members to deliver them 'some drama), should we now be wary of upsetting these thugs, lest we too get 'personal calls'?

@AoG. Yes, there are doubtless many many far more egregiously horrible events going on in the world right now. But, to paraphrase your own contribution here, at least initially - "so what"? As someone with around average-ish intelligence, I am able to think about and draw an opinion on more than one topic at a time. Its called multi-tasking. I am sure you are...

Question one. A. because he's an idiot
Question two. A. because he's an idiot.

Question three. Why did he stalk the wrong man?
A. because he's really really an idiot.
Well, in fairness Gary Moon did invite him around for " a cup of tea" in a tweet once - maybe he was just taking him up on the offer? :)
Big deal, someone made a mistake.

Who cares.

Are you yourself really bothered about these persons making a personal call?
So why do you care so much whenever someone you don't like makes a mistake? Isn't that just hypocrisy at it's [sic] finest?
That's right call a person an idiot enough times and it may (and I only say may), make some really hate a person they do not know.
It is alarming that a party leader goes yo the lengths of tirning up at the house of someone who criticises it.

And then publishing the address, picture of the building and front door to his knuckle dragging followers. That is just sinister. It looks like he is inciting others to do some stupid attack.

And he gets it all wrong. Wrong man, wrong address, wrong building.

It is tempting to laugh at their stupidity and incompetence, but we shouldn't. These people are dangerous.

I think you need to look at the wider implications of this story.

Tommy Robinson didn't have Gary Moon's address. All he knew is that he lived in Reading.

Gary Moon runs a site critical of the EDL, so Tommy Robinson investigates where Mr Moon lives and then calls round unannounced, and then tweets his address to his Twitter followers.

Don't you think that's dodgy, threatening and intimidating?

Why would the EDL stoop to doing this?

The EDL leader (whatever his name is today) has many convictions including common assault. In February he was released from prison on condition he wore an electronic tag.

In such circumstances, it would not be a good idea to confront Mr Moon at his front door (if he could find it). Better to publish the address and let orhers do his dirty work.

Do you think his actions are acceptable?

If I were to tweet your address, photo of you house and door to the membership of the AFL, would you be OK with that?
dam knuckle draggers!
"These people are dangerous". What, more dangerous than the muslim fanatics who hate us and all we stand for ?????

No...they are no where near as dangerous as Muslim fanatics, but just because they're less dangerous doesn't mean we should ignore stories like this.
Don't they want an England for the pure English?

So that would be me and my friends carted back to where we came from.
I'll be in the boat with you, ummmm, we can share the rowing
Gromit

/// These people are dangerous. ///

Perhaps you should remember that when you support those who are really dangerous.
ANOTHEOLDGIT, if your real name were Tommy Robinson and you lived in the same town as the English Dense League's Tommy Robinson, how would you feel if YOUR address were published rather than the intended one?
Question Author
Does Gromit support terrorists?

Bit strong.
It really winds me up when that is said. Just because someone refuses to slate innocent, peace loving, Muslims, it DOESN'T mean they support terrorists. It's a pretty disgusting thing to say!
What a horrible thing to do. The man's a moron!
