Joke Section - AB Ed?

I know it's been asked before, but as some ABer's like to post jokes - as they have on Chatterbank - would it be possible to have a Joke Topic?

This would free up a lot of space on CB - that's if CB continues of course! 

I do like to read the jokes - but this just an idea.

I would prefer not because this would be taking the AnswerBank further away from its stated objective to be "a community question and answer site where people ask genuine questions and receive answers from fellow members".

There are plenty of sites which are more suitable for jokes.

I realise there are other sites for jokes. But seeing as the AB Ed allows jokes on ChatterBank, I thought it might be a good idea to separate them, so as not to clog up CB. That's all - Over & Out. ;o]

Yes smudge at the risk of us getting a grumpy (as if) reputation I'd agree.  One thread with several jokes is fine but one, often long, joke per thread is a bit silly.  Actually I am a bit grumpy this morning so I'm going to have a whinge about those stupid 'Who'd win in a fight between.....' questions.  Now they really make me want to ...er ...hit somebody!! They need a category that makes them invisible!!

I wholeheartedly agree with you jno - in fact, I have reported sexually explicit, etc., posts before, because this site is after all, a family site.

There doesn't have to be a joke category at all - but as the AB Ed allows jokes to be posted on AB, that was my only reason for the suggestion.
