One thread
What does one thread per unique suggestion mean? By the way I love this site, sharing knowledge is a wonderful means of communication, keep up the good work,

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As far as I've always interpreted the rules (I'm not really a greenie by the way, I've been around a while, but I'm still relatively junior!) it just means that if you're replying to a post, you should post an answer, not start a new thread. Also, it's to try to prevent repeats of the same question. A while ago, some poor ABers were driven to distraction by many repeats of a question about the music used in the 3 advert with the girl with the big hands. I think Ed's suggestion is to try to prevent such repeats!
Happy AB'ing! :-)
It doesn't matter, it was just an example. There was a question about the music in a particular advert, that was posted by different people, repeatedly, in "TV", "Adverts" "News" and "Chatterbank" and in fact in suggestions. The question was adequately answered the first time.
The Ed's point is that things like that should be confined to one thread. Having the same thing asked/answered repeatedly just wastes space on the site and slows things down for everyone.
It doesn't matter about the 3 advert, it was just an example. :-)
Thanks jan_bug:
Welcome Pollyfrance, we ask that people post all comments into one thread. As jan_bug mentions, if you asked a Question and want to respond to an Answer, then do so within the original thread.
Also, if, for example, you are posting in Quizzes/Puzzles, put all your clues into a single Question, rather than create new threads for each clue.
This is to give all Questions an equal opportunity of being answered.
Now, go off and share knowledge in peace.
