What has happened to the Sports section?

11 of the last 15 threads have been me.

Is there no other sport happening at the moment ???

Hello joggerjayne...Perhaps you could help me....I want to run the Brighton marathon...but need advice (as your username says jogger) could you point me in the right direction? advance Thanks
JJ, the football section is a hive of activity ;-)

Suppose that will pick up as we've only had the opening weekend of premier league football.
the ab members down under have been rather quiet regarding the ashes cricket results ...

It's a waste of time posting in Football and Boxing, the questions just disappear.
Plenty of tennis going on too, but not here, mostly US and Canada. Interest might be revived when it's Davis Cup time.
What's happened to sports Answerbank - is that still going ?
Gone
What - just like that - was there a closing down party ?
Keep going JJ! You seem to be the only one with the ability and desire to post anything other than footy, which is OK as far as it goes, but needs to be kept in its place. Lifeline to people like me ( actually there's probably only one of me, bereft of sky sports etc.) :)

Other sports - well, Yorkshire have just beaten Durham at Scarborough (near me) in County Cricket and until the last day it seemed pretty tense. Perhaps I could post things like this. It looks very much as if we are on the way back to being county champions.

Bring back the glory days of us being a good chunk of the England team and also, seemingly inevitably, winning the county champs. (as long as we beat Lancashire, we don't really mind!). I saw Brian Close & hero-worshipped Fred Truman. (I once - at Scarborough- threw a ball back from the boundary to Close! I was about 9, but haven't forgotten the honour!)

Back to OP - yes, plenty happening, just a lot of it not being reported/prioritised. :)
