I now have a new e-mail address and wis to re register with you using a new user name but the system simply returns me to the old one, as this has been compromised by a vindictive ex , it means I cannot use the answer bank securely

You need to delete the cookie that is used to automatically log you on as your previous user name. Do you know how to do that?

To elfin,no I dont know how to do that ,bit of a techno dunce

That's ok extern76.  The easiest way to do it is as follows:

1. Open Internet Explorer (do not go to Answerbank though).

2. Click on Tools on the menu bar at the top of your internet browser window.

3. Then select Internet Options

4. Then click on the Delete Cookies button.

5. Go to Answerbank and you should no longer be logged in.  You should be able to re-register from there.

This method deletes all cookies. If you are registered on any other websites which usually log you in as soon as you open them, you will find that you will have to log in again initially, so make sure you have all your passwords etc recorded somewhere if you are concerned about that.

You can delete just the answerbank cookie but finding it is a bit more involved.  Come back if you would prefer to do that and I'll try to guide you through it!

Hi,

Or you can send me an email and we'll sort you out with a new username.
