"No personal abuse please"
In the thread in news where some users actually celebrated the deaths of five teenagers, why is ok for Ding-Dong to call me a bitch, but no ok for others to call him names!?! He might have only implied it, but is that not still personal abuse!?!
Please don't tell me you've become biased ABE - I have such faith in your impartiality!

But all because somebody expresses a view you don't like it is no reason for boycotting the question or requesting it be banned.
It has been said a million times on here before but what a boring world we would live in if we all had the same views. I am sure the brigade on here (whether right or wrong) who agrue for banning this or that are the very same brigade who are totally in favour of immigration and human rights??? Tenious link, I know, but you can't have it both ways. Diversity is good surely?
I would like to think that a Karl Marx loving muslim could discuss ANYTHING on here with a skinhead Combat 18 member without resorting to being "banned" all because the reader finds something "horrific"
PS there is no reference AT ALL to the darling JB being called a bitch.
WM - there darn well is any you know it! That guy hates me, and the changing of it from legal "eagle" to "Beagle" was absolutely deliberate - credit him with that at least! Don't fall for it like people have with a certain quiffed rock and roll star who, for a long time, (has) got away with causing havoc and upset only to say "Ooops sorry, didn't mean it" and have everyone forgive him. In fact it's MORE than obvious what D-D was doing because he feels I'm arrogant so he was trying a "smart" insult to see if I'd spot it. He doesn't like the fact that I did, so he pretends to apologise - well three words sprung to mind about the genuineness of his apology. One was my, another was fat. I think you get the point! :-)
Everyone else - thank you very much! I agree, I should report. It was just that the Ed had obviously carefully gone through that thread and decided that it's ok for D-D to call me arrogant and imply that I'm a bitch. I know relative to everything else in that thread, it wasn't that bad, but I thought the Ed usually maintained a degree of objectivity.
I take your point, and of course it's unworkable. But I still think different people enjoy different levels of (for want of a better word) "protection" from the Ed.
This is just a very raw point for me, cos as school I was told that being bullied was basically all my own fault because I stood up for myself. Apparently by not allowing people to say what they liked to me, I actually invited further abuse.
I'm not saying it's bullying here, but it does seem that Ed assumes certain people can stick up for themselves, and that may be true, but it doesn't mean they shouldn't be treated fairly too! For example, Dakota is intelligent and fiesty and defends herself in a fight, but I bet the ed would jump to remove a post calling her a bitch. Yet for me, nothing. Just doesn't seem right, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't get backed up.
woofgang - you are right though, it's just too much hard work for an already over-stretched Ed.
JB if he did intend to call you by a dog reference (which i honestly think he didn't intend to) look on the positive side.
a dog is a friendly, cuddly (not in the overweight sense!), cute, loyal, intelligent, loving creature who i very much like to be beside me in bed to snuggle up to and play with their ears.
JB, in the nicest possible way I would love you to be my dog. X
