I would like to suggest that the AnswerBank offers somewhere where Charities can promote their fund-raising Quiz Sheets. There seem to be a lot of keen "quizzers" out there, who will happily send a 1 and an s.a.e. for a quiz sheet, and it is a very good source of funds for the Charities concerned. If the Registered Charity number was provided, then you would know that it was a genuine charity and not a private individual.

I think that's a good idea , other than the rule saying no addresses etc.
Maybe somebody could set up a web page and then put a link to it in AB.
That is a brilliant idea! Well done, Big Jenny. Come on Ed, get a move on, we want it NOW.

I came across your suggestion when I googled for 'Charity Fundraising Quiz Sheet' and think it is a very good idea. I also emailed the ABeditor about it a while ago and was told that they would keep the idea on file with a possibilty of looking at it in the future.

As you say there is a demand and I for one have sent for any that I have seen on this site. I've enjoyed doing them and its nice to know that a good cause is also benefitting. I was asked by the PTA of my sons' school to help raise funds and last year we did a series of quiz sheets that we asked local shops help sell - middle of the range and nothing too deep as some folk don't have the benefit of the internet! but still challenging. It would be nice if there was a way of promoting such quizzes further afield - through AnswerBank.

Good Luck with your fundraising in 2006.

Please ABed, will you make a New Year resolution to look into it for us. Thanks.

What a good idea, although over 2 years on nothing seems to have happened!

Anyway, if anyone finds this thread -
We have just brought out a TV Programme and Film Titles quiz, of 50 cryptic questions.

It's to raise desperately needed funds for Hospice at Home in Huntingdonshire, a registered charity (no 1103680).

You can purchase the quiz on-line and return it by e-mail, if you so choose. It's just 1.25 for a few hours of fun and the knowledge that you are helping some well deserving people. There's also a 25 prize for the winner!

The address is http://www.hospice-at-home.co.uk/quiz.htm

Thank you.
I also have put a quiz on the answerbank, and sell it via eBay. There are a few deductions, so I sell it for £1.50, payable through PayPal, though the local sale price is £1. If you would like it, go to eBay and type in "East Anglian Air Ambulance quiz". It is cryptic, has 80 clues, and the prize is£20.
