An ex-criminal jno, gosh what with you and Vinny (sometimes) around, we should be the Biddy Mafia. Yes, I know you didn't say who was the criminal, but I like to think it was you, although I doubt if, if you are a regular visitor to the House of Commons! OK, OK I'll own up now, once I did smash a lightbulb from a telephone kiosk when I was 14yrs! and have had one parking ticket, which doesn't count as they were new here and it came to nothing!
a cheese and mint omelette, yes, that takes me right back to the Parthenon... In fact that's probably how they served Socrates his hemlock.
haha " we both changed careers" ?...or was it EXchanged jno?...Belated Happy Anniversary, I'm working on your gifts... http://www.dewittco.c...ippers_transfers_.jpg

Fantastic news Sweedie but I knew you'd be ok, I'd seen it in my tea leaves. I did wonder if you'd dislodged one of those tiny bones in your ear but it wasn't for me to say and I wouldn't want to have to change my name to robsqad or sqadinia :). Hope the tinnitus does improve, I get all of those you mention...I call the whooshing noises 'carpet scrubbing'... erm, because that what it sounds like. Of course it could be Vinny zooming by in the night on his buffererererer. You'll be happy to know that 5 slices of carrot cake is absolutely fine, as are 5 strawberry creams and five chocolate oranges.
If you liked the song you might like the ad...I do :).....2 links in case one doesn't work for you

omelette & chips sounds like a good idea for tea...but maybe not cheese & mint!

something to test you...I got 6 out of 10...heaven knows how, hahaha

Ah yes Greece .we've had some lovely holidays there too and some lovely food . One of the best meals of my life was in a little village way up in the mountains in Crete .Very simple but it tasted wonderful.
Kit ,I'm really pleased to hear your news .I bet you feel as if a weight has been lifted .I'm sure that now you know that it's nothing too life threatening things will improve .

It's been lovely today and it did in fact get out warm this afternoon out of the wind .Warm enough for me to go out in a light jacket instead of muffled up like Michelin Man for a change .
We've got omelettes with of all things .......Greek Salad :) I just have to move myself in the direction of the cooker toute suite .
I shan't be able to watch Law and Order any more now without thinking of Jno shouting "Objection " and the judge whispering "Sustained ".He wouldn't dare say ...."Overruled " :))
Ha ha I like that dodo bird, very sixties body language!

Just working a bit on my sense of balance here... http://i40.tinypic.com/53rajd.gif
Brilliant news Kit. So pleased for you. Puts what I'm not mentioning again into perspective. You can relax a bit now and get well without the worry. I don't know how you've coped.

I love the Greek Islands too. Have been to a few and I was into trying everything Greek to eat even though a lot of Tavernas catered for the tourists. My first visit was to the Isle of Kos around 1991. Then right through the 90's I went eveery year almost

I'm off out tonight for a bit of a jig. I would have liked to stop in and watch Harry Potter but I expect it'll be on again.

Jno - you are a mystery to me. I wonder sometimes if you are really somone who is well known.

Have a good weekend all I'm off to Bridlington on Monday with my sis.

Bye for now x
Have a good time Jude...

haha, I've got a celebratory gift for you too Kit

It's been lovely here too shaney & I've pottering been in the garden...wouldn't you just know it? I've been bitten on the back of my neck. How am I supposed to wear my diamond choker now?...tut
ha ha jno Biggs!!!
Jude, I can assure you I am not even world famous in my own house...

Kit, I'm hoping winter is definitely over where you are, but is there anything you can do to make next winter easier: grippier boots with ankle supports or something? It's quite alarming to think of you whooshing all over Stockholm every time it ices up.
I think I am going to query "grippier" boots, that really cannot be allowed!!!
(Obviously prison speak!)
LOL Neti "prison speak" ha ha ha... so which one is our jno d'you think (or maybe you didn't get to see Prisoner Cell Block H in Spain?) http://www.prisoner-c...characters/index.html

Found a way Robi http://i40.tinypic.com/34erz13.jpg :)

Looking into grippier shoes jno, however it scares me that they're all rounded at the back whereas I would prefer a heel cos I don't want to ever fall backwards again. I think maybe the best solution would be for me to move in with Mr Neti and Neti can have my place and the snow and ice. Seriously though the streets have never been allowed to become icey before and I'm hoping they'll never be allowed to become icey again after the elections in September... so you see my whooshing all over Stockholm is really a Bolshevik coup;-)

Britons on Skavlan if anyone's interested, Sarah Ferguson and Cheryl Cole, jump to 24.12 for the introduction of the gal from "Böckingham Palace" http://svtplay.se/t/102974/skavlan
Morning..wakey wakey!... sun's shining!

I watched (some of) Skavlan while I had my breakfast Kit... do you think Sarah was a tad squiffy? She seemed a bit out of it & the interview was a lot of nothing really, just her going on about Andrew. Their faces said plenty when Cheryl came on/went off...haha....she's very pretty but that's about it really, she doesn't interest me.
I still think Swedes make up the language as they go along...whooodee whoodee whoo... :o)
(I think I must have been out of it with my post last night..."pottering been"....?!)

For pity's sake put some clothes on, May isn't out yet & you're taking this Greek thing a bit too far now...

well you'd better take these in case it gets chilly

true, one never knows when one may need a coolie hat.
oh, are you a Borrower jno?...it makes sense of the floorboard worries then, it's where you live.
Question Author
oh the Borrowers, I just found the book in Oxfam, took me right back to my childhood. Its funny, I remember it as a happy book but re reading I found it quite sad and scary in places. Another lovely day here...I don't feel like doing much...now theres a change...NOT.
well, it's a bit hard to judge the scale from the photo, Robi, but aren't they coolie hats with those dreadlock wigs attached, for the use of Chinese rastafarians? I could be wrong.
Morning biddies, well Kit you are welcome to come here but I think I should warn you that, the Ajuntament (Town Hall) has paved our pavements in very slippery (even when dry) slabs and one honestly has to walk very gingerly (is that PC?) or one ends up on one's bottom! I like to walk fast, but it is taking one's life in one's hands at times, and heaven help up when it is wet!! I expect they got them cheap and charged us all exhorbitant taxes!!!!
