After reading the threads below, i can't help but agree. One of the main reasons i've stayed away from here is perfectly innocent q's i posted getting pulled simply because the powers that be didn't like them. None of the q's were remotely insulting or controversial either, so maybe free speech is dead eh?

Hi All

There has always been room for SOME good natured "chat" on the AB, and particular lee-way is given to AB Suggestions, as it is currently the only category where ABers can communicate with the Editor and eachother without clogging the other categories up with "chat". However, good natured is the operative term here.

A bigger problem than harmless chat is the practice of some users who register just to report others and to get people suspended. Most of these users do not contribute to the AB in any other way. This verges on bullying and exploits the moderation-by-peer system we have here.

We appreciate the sense of proprietorship some people have for the old AB, however, we do not appreciate people exploiting our registration process and "dummy" registrations/accounts wil be deleted.

What a brilliant response! Come back Plamfy, you can get out from behind the sofa, they're not after you now!!!!!

Fantastic, another shift in editorial policy. Unfortunately we don't know whether we're coming or going. Chatterbank doesn't need to return as it's already here. Key to this is the input from lots of people recently. You've all seen how things change from one day to the next. Or have you?

Useful threads are rare on this side, but still much appreciated. Don't despair though as the site will continue to evolve. Only you can help to make the Answerbank a better place. Th-th-th-that's all folks!
